Banner Health Employees Speak Page IV

Banner employees voice their opinions about management:
Actual employee comments provide an inside look at jobs & companies. Don't apply for a job without researching your potential employer.

In a Peter S. Fines internal message to employees he stated that we need to provide excellent care to our insured patients as we want them to return, what about the uninsured?; Management is terrible!; Forcing us to see so many patients that by the end of the shift I can't remember what they look like; Uneducated management, favoritism, incompetent management and some incompetents workers; If you stink at what you do, but can play the game, then you are in; Don't ask questions. Don't raise concerns about patient safety; We are forced to smile and ride the "Banner Bus"; Morale is very low. They want you to shut up and not complain and just be happy you have a job; How sad is it to have to work in this kind of environment!; We haven't had a raise in 2 years.; Management is poor, they are inexperienced for the most part.; We've had a turn over rate that would shock anyone.;We are short staffed and at times, run raggedy.; Management has little to no people experience and it shows.; Tuition reimbursement has been cut.; This is an organization where you are expected to make your boss look good at all costs.; Leaders trip over one another because the organization is so top heavy.; Worst place I've ever seen in over 40 years of health industry.; They publish great sounding mission statements then ignore them.; They fire employees key to good patient care and overload others in order to improve profits.; Our department is overworked & understaffed.; They don't care about patient care, only how they can boost profits to give themselves bonuses.; Very disorganized company. Very understaffed.; Administration is all about themselves and care less about the patients or employees.; Every week there are more rules and more tasks that make my job harder.; Employees promoted to supervisor with no other qualification than being a friend or relative.; Increased nurse patient ratios make taking care of high acuity patients difficult, not the best place to work anymore.; If you like being treated with no respect, then Banner is definitely the place to work.; P T O system is flawed, everything is combined.; Too much passing the buck - nobody really makes a decision, it simply gets passed on to the next person, or corporate, or whomever.; Corporate office makes decisions that affect patient care without really understanding what is going on in the facility.; Management overbearing. They do not listen to the staff and are missing from the frontline of patient care.; VERY disrespectful to nurses. Intimidation, harassment and retaliation are the "NORM " from management at Banner.; First of all, there is FAR too much management in any Banner Facility.; Finance first and foremost. Patient care second.; We are overworked, under compensated, under appreciated, micromanaged, under trained.; Elitist and pack mentality of certain floors and departments.; Below average; the folks there do what they need to get by and that is about it.; They have cut back on support staff and housecleaners to a startling degree.; As you might imagine, morale is less than festive.; I don't really feel that management actually CARES what us lowly employees feel.; Uneducated management, favoritism, incompetent management and incompetent workers.; Management has little to no people experience and it shows.; Review your Human Resource staff they are horrible.; Micromanaged, underpaid, treated punitively and worked to the bone.; Censoring what we say to each other about our working conditions.; Do Not utter the words "unsafe" you will be labeled at problem maker and written up for unfounded reasons.; You are so focused on expanding the Banner Empire you have completely lost touch with those who are helping.; you get there.; The Good old boys network controls everything.; Poorly run behemoth that seeks to stretch every single penny.
